I Been Born There, Maggie Green | Melbourne

  • TDF Collect 14 Little Oxford Street VIC, 3066 Australia (map)

Maggie Green’s debut solo show at The Design Files Collect, Melbourne

I Been Born There comprises works inspired by Green’s childhood at Myroodah Station in Western Australia’s remote Kimberley region, where she grew up, went to school, worked, went fishing and swimming, and collected bush tucker.

Created from densely-layered fields of coloured dot work, Green’s canvases are semi-abstract renderings of landscape. The works translate the memories of her childhood into geometric compositions of glowing pastel colour, occasionally punctuated by figurative landscape elements.

Due to COVID-19, this exhibition could not open to the public, however you can view the artworks online here and take a virtual walk through below.
